About the Authors:
Dr. Lee M. Haines was a lifelong servant of God and The Wesleyan Church. He was a consummate church historian, a champion of women in ministry, and an expert author and editor of the Discipline of The Wesleyan Church.
Paul William Thomas was a historian for the Pilgrim Church, continuing that role through merger into The Wesleyan Church. He was instrumental in bringing the Archives and Historical Library of The Wesleyan Church to a standard of excellence unsurpassed among the smaller denominations. He wrote “An Historical Survey of Pilgrim World Missions.” He served as a mission field superintendent to the Philippine Islands in the 1950-1960's.
